            <title>The West of England Championship</title>
            <link>http://joshevansgolf.yolasite.com/blog/blog/the-west-of-england-championship</link>
<description>Hi guys,&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;This week&amp;nbsp;I have been playing in the West of England Championship at Royal North Devon Golf Club, after a 4&amp;amp;1/2 hour drive i played my practice round and made notes about the course. The course is quite different from what you normally get and has sheep and horses roaming around. Round 1 was frustrating for me as i played very well tee to green but 35 putts meant that i shot 76 which was tied 53rd. Round 2 was tough with the wind switching directions which made the back 9 hard, i played really well only to be let down by the putter again and shoot 72, the cut was 149 which meant i would be playing 36 holes on sunday. Round 3 was going well until i made&amp;nbsp;4 bogeys in a row at the start of the back 9, again the putter was not performing and 35 putts led to another 76 which dropped me down the leaderboard from 28th to 35th. In round 4 i was determined to stay calm and not get frustrated this worked although i didnt play aswell tee to green i managed to score well and shot 70, which jumped me up the leaderboard to tied 23rd. All in all i am satisfied with how i played tee to green but my putting performance in the first 3 rounds was well below average, but i bounced back in the 4th round and my confidence on the greens is now high. So i am looking to build on this result and play well in my next tournament which is the Irish Open Amateur Strokeplay at Royal Dublin Golf Club.</description>
